Goon BBQ is still the best Korean bbq in Melbourne. I came here when they first opened and four years later they are better then ever. The courtyard is a great option for large parties and the staff let my friends and I sit there chatting til closing, didn’t rush us even after telling us it was finally time to go. I have been to every kbbq place in nyc and put Goon at the top of “greatest of all time” kbbq places. The meats are marinated perfectly and the side sauces are delicious. Located on Smith Street between Otter Street and St David Street, closer to Johnston Street, Goon BBQ is a small establishment that can seat up to 30 people. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, only two customers are allowed inside at a time for take-away orders. Customers must wait outside for their orders. Despite the wait, the service was prompt and the staff were friendly and courteous. The lunch take-away menu was reasonably priced and we ordered the Chicken Mayo and Tuna Mayo, both priced at $9.50 each.
