Popped to gossip on my way to my mans 90th birthday party. Leaving everything to the last minute as usual! I hurried in and was immediately asked if I would like some help. I asked the lady for 90th birthday cards, she pointed me in the direction and whilst I was browsing she gathered up some more to show me. I ended up buying 2 as they were such nice cards, I did not expect such a large selection for a 90th. I also bought a badge and a balloon, the total was just over £6 which was fantastic, I thought I miss heard the price at first. Having received such a good service I will not buy cards from anywhere else now! Thank you gossip
We went to this restaurant last night and were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The chips were greasy and tasted like they had been reheated. My dad ordered a Cornish pasty, which was not good. The sausage roll, pies, and saveloys were also cold and unappetizing. Despite all the hype about using better ingredients, the overall standard of the food was terrible. We only kept coming back because of the convenient location, but even that may not be enough to make us return. Additionally, the staff behind the counter were unfriendly and unwelcoming, more reminiscent of a Rottweiler than a friendly face.
Visited Gossip during half term with my 11 9 year olds as they were laying on craft activities including rock and glass painting. Best of all, it was free. Very friendly staff who were attentive to the many 4th kids that turned up. Took the opportunity for a coffee which was, as coffee goes, very good. The cake looked amazing but my waistline won the battle so I didn't try it. Also had chance to browse and they sell a fantastic range of gifts which you maybe wouldn't expect in a village shop. Definitely worth popping in to say hello and have a coffee.
I came across this delightful oasis quite by chance. The lovely Denise brought me coffee and cake to my table outside in the wintry sun with the most welcoming smile you could ever imagine. The wonderful cafe had some truly amazing wonderful pictures, gloriously local made decorative candles and embroidery for sale. I love locally owned shops which keep alive local communities and customs, a lovely warm welcoming feeling. Who could ask for anything more?

A lovely shop. The staff and owners are so helpful. I have twice ordered a dozen cards the same to give to a group of people involved in a project and I get a phone call when they are in stock for me. There is a lovely atmosphere and sometimes I have called in when ladies who knit or crochet are there having a natter and a coffee. There is such a good collection and variety of cards and very reasonable prices.
If you need that hard to find card or helium balloon this place will have it. They can even help with customising a card. Wide range of related party decorations and lots of small gifts too. Plus a great café servicing hot and cold drinks, tasty cakes and range of sandwiches etc. The staff and owners are very friendly and you can usually find somewhere to park outside. Well worth a visit!
After spending a substantial amount of money, the fish we ordered at this restaurant was disappointing. When we brought it to their attention, they accused us of lying but eventually refunded us for the fish. When we got home, the burger my cousin had was like rubber and the chips tasted old due to stale oil. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
The staff at this restaurant is very attentive and there are a wide variety of gifts and party options available. I absolutely adore this shop, as it has a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The selection of balloons is also fantastic.
