Historical place with a mixed meal experience. The restaurant has a traditional ambience and you feel like you are going back in time. The food experience was mixed: While the new vegan dishes were liked on the menu and were well prepared, the traditional veal was a disappointment: salted, with a lumpy heavy cream sauce, sticking noodles, a few overboiled vegetables something that you are served in your cheap corner lunch restaurant in the last century. Overall too expensive for what you get. Friendly service, but very busy and hard to get their attention.
Very slow, but perhaps a false communication with the waiter, we were all right, with the narrow a 20-minute article, and meant that other articles are served when everyone was ready, but the waiter seemed to think that we wanted everything to wait for the slowest element. Kudos to the only male waiter with the Petite restaurant extension, the busy, did many different tasks. Beef cheeks and Mark were nice. The cheese fondue was more salty than I want.
Abendessen: Käsefondu „moitié-moitié“, mit wirklich gutem Brot!, Käsefondu sehr rund u. ausgewogen im Geschmack. Dessert: „Fotzelschnittli“ (Arme Ritter“ zum niederknien lecker. Dass man so etwas heute noch im Lokal bekommt- toll. Danke an den sehr aufmerksamen und guten Service aller Mitarbeiter. Ein gelungener Abend.
Was a really nice dinner we had. Good choice of wine and food was consistently good across all the friends that joined me for dinner : Bit noisy when outside as there is a pub right next one one side and on the other side there is a take-away attracting people all day.
