While the server maintained a polite demeanor and tone, it felt disingenuous to us. It’s worth noting that my bilingual family was not speaking English when we entered, which raises the question of whether this treatment was influenced by that. Are kids really such a problem in a sports bar located in the heart of Wallingford? It seems we were expected to understand the unspoken rules of the local scene. This might be acceptable for local patrons without kids who only speak English, but it brings into question the authenticity of the staff's friendliness toward others.
