Booked lunch here on a recommendation, and it was very good. The food was excellent and none of our party could fault it. The starters, mains, pan seared trout Tofu, beef and pork dishes were all lovely. The warm date ginger cake was mmm. All enjoyed their lunch. Prior to our meal we also had a look at the sea-scapes by David Joy. He was doing a painting in his garden next to the restaurant and we had a wonderful chat with him. A talented artist amongst other things. A very nice afternoon with great views over St Andrews.
I only wish I could give it 6 stars. The food is pure perfection, the wines are wonderful, the building is charming and the owners staff are delightful. The owners, John and Carolyn, are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. The standout, of course, is the food. Each course and entremet were a feast for the eyes and the palate. If you are anywhere in the vicinity, you must make reservations. Be sure to leave time for a pre- or post- dinner drink by the fire in the snug.
We had heard good things, but the experience was a beyond our expectations! My dad booked The Grange Inn as a surprise for our honeymoon, and it is easily the highlight so far the service was phenomenal, and the food out of this world! Our courses were divine, and we loved the extras like bread fresh from the oven, the canapés and intermediaries. If you think the photos are good, just wait until you taste it! Utterly divine.
Was here 4 years ago when I dropped my son off at uni. Just had his grad dinner here as well booked it 6 mths in advance. One of the best places in the area. As always top quality food, generous portions, fantastic service. There were plans to add some rooms which would be awesome. Dessert out in the garden with the view !

Is it too far to say this is the best meal I've ever had? No it isn't. Divine, utterly divine. I'm upset I don't have a star to give, given other things I gave stars to, as this was so much better than any of them. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon just so much more special!
Been going to St Andrews for several years and don't know how I didn't know about The Grange Inn. Fantastic multi course meal with friendly, polite staff. Very cute place with a cosy atmosphere. The place is filled with some beautiful artwork of the sea from next door.
We had a lot of great food on our recent 14 day trip but none better than our dinner at The Grange Inn. The food was amazing but the overall experience made it one of the best meals we've ever had. We will definitely be back!
Lunch to celebrate my son's graduation. Very good food, friendly, efficient service and good value.....with fantastic views over St Andrews.
