Went with some friends. Never heard anything interesting but these guys were donating profits so thought will give them a shot. Wine was nice. When asked about allergies i mentioned I cant eat chilli or spicy food. Lady said there is nothing to worry for...me. That was the last famous words. Blood sausage was spicy and the pink sause was chilly hot. Everything else had some level of spice through. Eggplant was nicely grilled. Deserts were nice part the pannacotta. Halumi crocettas were bit heavy on some blue cheese. Service was great. Wont be back. Nothing exciting.
An altruistic outing which was well worth it (is that a contradiction in terms? Anyhow we had a wonderful family meal here which was unexpected I guess I had an expectation that there would be some form of ‘deficit’ in the quality and...ingredients does that make me judgemental? Wonderful surprise in that everything about this restaurant was above average the food was delicious despite the menu being a little limited the service was excellent the space is cosy and modern the wine list was sufficient Well worth the experience and a place I would go back to !
We celebrated our staff Christmas party at Folonomo and it was undoubtedly our best ever owing to the wonderful food, atmosphere at Folonomo. We selected the venue as we were drawn to their not for profit ethos, with proceeds going to causes of the diner's...selection.The set menu was just perfect for a large group of people, with all tastes catered to and the quality is just incredible. The service was excellent along with their wine selections. Go there for the causes, return for the delicious food!
Don't go to the restaurant if you haven't eaten all day. Expectations were not met given the high bar that the waitress set! The vibe was good and their ethical practice of sharing the profits with charity is admirable. I enjoyed the food and wine...selection was quite classy. Many of the staff are French, which gives it an authentic feel. Very nice designed interior photogenic.

This small gem is located in the great Surry Hills neighbourhood and is cozy and romantic. The food is super fresh and very suitable for vegetarians. The best thing is that while you are having a lovely dinner you are also supporting charities as all...the profits are donated to an NGO of your choice. I wish there would be more places like this around the world!
A really tight menu we opted for the Feed me option at which was good value. Initially a little concerned at the portion sizes with adults eating but the courses just kept coming. Quality of each course was pleasing and ambience appealing...We will definitely go again notwithstanding the large huntsman that appeared at the end of the meal
read the review on lonely planet and liked the concept of giving the profit for charity. we sat at the bar and saw the chefs and their assistants preparing all the dishes. Amazing.the wine. was excellent, food very innovative and tasty and service just awsome....a shame we cannot go again, we are going back to france in days.
Had a wonderful experience dining at Folonomo. Not only was the food delicious and staff friendly, but we also felt like we were eating for a good cause as it was a profit for purpose restaurant. I will definitely be coming back!!
