A piece of advice for potential customers: if you decide to hire this company for your event, make sure to send your full payment well in advance. Do not wait until a week before the event to send a bank-certified check, as requested by the company. In my case, the payment was delayed in the mail and did not arrive on time for the event. While the company never explicitly stated that they would refuse to serve without payment in hand, there was significant pressure on me as the host to come up with a second payment (a substantial sum of money) to cover the outstanding balance. My only suggestion to potential clients would be to make sure to send your full payment early if you decide to hire this company for your event. I recommend sending payment, including a certified check, at least 30 days before the event to avoid any last-minute issues. In my experience, the caterer requested full payment via certified check a week before the event, which unfortunately caused a bit of stress for the hosts. Due to a delay at the post office, the payment did not arrive in time for the event and there was some pressure on the hosts to come up with a second payment to cover the outstanding balance.
