A few friends recommended I try sushi here and as a North of 7 sushi lover I chanced it thinking why drive to Whitby or Oshawa searching for good sushi if I don 't have to? I had never considered a restaurant in Greenbank would be an amazing sushi secret!?! WOW, am I ever glad I took the chance. I too (like other reviewers) have eaten my fair share of sushi. And hands down, no South of 7 sarcasm, this was the best sushi I 've had in a long time. It 's local. The person I ordered from was extremely helpful and seem to want my order to be perfect for my purposes. And the food was amazing! The advice my friends gave me was the golden key...
This is the worst sushi I have ever tried. I have had sushi at many different places across the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill, Aurora, Stouffville) and I was excited to try Greenbank because of the great reviews. I usually prefer maki rolls, but the Spicy Salmon and Spicy Tuna rolls at Greenbank were the worst I have ever had. The fish portion was small and they even put lettuce in them, which I have never seen in sushi before. Once you put it in your mouth, you can barely taste the fish because the portion is so small. All you taste is lettuce and rice. I called to speak to the manager and she just said that's how they make it and offered no solution. It is not a goo...
I have discovered a new favorite Japanese restaurant. My friends and I went there for a group meal. While they are a bit pricier, the quality is outstanding and well worth it. However, on my last few visits, the freshness of the dishes seemed to be lacking. I would recommend sticking to dishes with cooked fish from now on. It seems like there may have been a change in chefs since my initial raving review of the sushi.
Good food at reasonable prices. We all had variations of the Bento Box meals, plus we had the spring rolls as appetizers. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The oriental cusine is a bit incongruous to the village setting, where a pub or fast food is the norm. We would highly recommend it especially if your taste buds crave something more adventurous.

Had my birthday dinner here with my family Food was beautiful ant tasted gorgeous, stuff very friendly and helpful My daughter loves the play corner She enjoyed it while we where waiting on our orders and after when she was done with her dinners Lovely and peacefully plus take away is freshly made and really tasty Definitely going back
This is the best sushi I have ever tasted. The texture is incredible and so tender, indicating that they use top-notch ingredients. I savored every bite of my meal. The restaurant's setting is distinctive and beautiful, and I cannot wait for the opportunity to dine inside. I will definitely be returning here. Thank you very much.
Have eaten here before but NEVER AGAIN. Food was undercooked or overcooked and cold. Tables not clean until they were asked to do it and they tried to clear tables before we had finished. Worse experience ever. AVOID
first-class food to be great. friendly staff at any time and fast service. for a few years. had never done bad experiences. yesterday for a steak sandwich and it was fantastic.
