Great view, great food, great service, attractive decor, affordable prices, easily accessible from the university and railway station. I'd take friends here for the first time visiting Bern without hesitating. I think the restaurant may have been less attractive before not too much warehouse in older reviews. The photographs with the orange umbrellas and the architecture of the 1970s show the positives not well. The decor inside is generous, light, airy, slightly minimalist, almost zen as.

A restaurant near the University of Bern and the railway station. It is a good place to take a quick lunch or have coffee with friends. Also popular among university and SBB employees. Service is fast and friendly. The menu offers typical Swiss and international dishes. Usually there are two options (vegetarian and non vegetarian) for the lunch menu that are a budget-friendly option. There is also a selection of other dishes. Always a positive experience, recommend the place.

I love this place absolutely. In addition to its very central location at the railway station, there is a terrace overlooking the city and the mountains that makes a great place to enjoy an after-work drink in the summer. The selection of drinks is satisfactory, and they offer very good lunch menus at fair prices. There is also a large amount of mix between workers, students and international groups. Sometimes it may be diffcult to find a table.

Beautiful place in the heart of Bern. There is a huge lawn next to Bern University and a restaurant called Chalet Schanze, where you can dine for lunch. Many seating around the lawn. Another beauty is the great view over the city.

Lunch was tasty. There is a huge crowd especially on the weekdays during lunchtime. if you have a university identity card then you will get a discount. It's a self-service restaurant.
