Wir waren zum Abendessen mit vorzeitiger Reservierung im Grünsteinstüberl. Sehr aufmerksamer Service, schnelle Getränke und auch das bestellte Essen entsprach voll den Erwartungen: Geschmacklich einwandfrei, der Zwiebelrostbraten auf den Punkt und was die Portionen angeht, so wird hier jeder satt. Wir haben die negativen, und zum Teil für uns nicht nachvollziehbaren Bewertungen nicht bestätigen können. Es ist eine bayrische Wirtschaft mit allem Flair, und nicht die High Level Gourmet Schickeria Location. Gute, ehrliche Speisen mit sehr gutem Service und einem guten Preisleistungsverhältnis
Eating was okay, but the service was terrible. We tried to book a table by phone as online booking was not possible. You said we should come by. When we arrived, they asked for a reservation. Since we had no one, we have a table at the back, behind a cleaning station, with a comment from the waiter about our lack of reservation. They brought the main court before I could finish my starter. And a beer we ordered had to be ordered again to get the wrong order. I don't think they'll see us soon.
We visited twice during our stay in Schönau and on both occasions found the food and ambience here to be very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, great local beer and a good selection of local food from a somewhat esoteric menu. Would certainly come again and enjoy the lovely beer garden or the quaint little rooms in the main restaurant.
My wife and I tried this place out after a suggestion from our local host. We went on a Wednesday night, and so they had an incredible oompah band playing. The food was fantastic. The drinks were cold, and the service was very friendly. It was so much fun that we're chomping at the bit to go again.
We were actually there in October or 2019. Food and service were wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful and what you would expect when you eat in this area. They were just a few minutes walk from the house where we stayed. A very charming experience! Can't wait to come back!
