2.5/5 I hate to give this review, but I should. My mom , my best friend and I came on a Thursday. Funny because we just ate at Vics for breakfast and decided, why not get some ice cream. So we go to Guava and we 're greeted, great but then the cashier tells us the menu isn 't accurate so just tell me what you 're looking for and I 'll tell you if we have it . NOW... I get that sometimes places may not have items always in stock. But if your restaurant/ ice cream shop.. says Guava , SHOULDNT THEIR BE GUAVA ICE CREAM AT LEAST!?. They had no Ube no Guava, no Krispies, no this no that no this no that.. I 'm like is this a joke? My best friend ended up getting something to go for her husband, but...

As far as I can tell, I don't think Martinez has a proper tiki bar within its city limits, a shame really as the purported birthplace of the martini should have a retro vintage tavern that would fit nicely within the city's waterfront location. In the meantime, this Main Street ice cream shop will have to serve as a non alcoholic proxy for all tropical refreshments even if there were no tiny pink paper parasols involved. One look at the menu order card makes you feel there must be some breeze coming from Waikiki as flavors like coconut, guava, and mango reveal themselves alongside vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I decided to try a reasonably priced $3 Double Scoop Cup of Ube and Jackfruit...

The store is going through a change so they literally have 3 ice cream flavors available only. This was so disappointing since I had been looking forward to coming here for months! They only had vanilla, strawberry and mango available and the employee said they would only be able to offer ice cream or smoothies, nothing else. The employee was very friendly and gave us all the info about why their options were so limited, so extra star for that. Not sure if he was extra nice because he was training a new associate, or if that's just how he is, but he was clear, concise, and nice, so that was appreciated. I opted not to get anything, as the options they had were too basic but my BF went ahead...

We loved our desserts here! We ordered the Halo Halo (I don't think it was on the menu), milk shake and ice cream. The Halo Halo was the star of the night. It has 2 scoops of ice cream (ube and jack fruit), sweetened milk, crushed ice, red beans, mango jelly, banana slices and is topped with toasted coconut and honeycomb candy. It comes as it comes. No changes or substitutions. It's dessert. It's sweet, ready for pictures before you dig into it. I heard the milk shake and the ice cream was great. I didn't try any of those. Definitely worth coming again! Réservez une table maintenant

I've made a point to really get out with my kids and try the new little spots that are opening in downtown Martinez. What kid doesn't want ice cream. We made our way in on the weekend, a little before closing time. Both of the kids ordered chocolate with sprinkles in a waffle bowl. We were able to sit inside. Its very spacious and can accommodate a large group if needed. The ice cream was pretty good. It was very light and fluffy. Which was interesting. The décor is very cute inside. My kids had a great time. What kid doesn't love ice cream any time.

We usually love what we order, but the last time we were here, which was 2 weeks ago, they were out of a lot of the main ingredients such as ube and guava Ice cream. We came today, 9/24/22, and the two employees said they closed early because they are understaffed and it was only 5:30 PM. There were no customers in the store and the front entrance was open. I hope this business understands people travel to your location and we travel 30 minutes to come here only to find out your store closes early, but hours say your open until 7 PM.

I visited this restaurant last weekend with high hopes of trying their halo halo, but unfortunately, they didn't have it that day. I believe the server mentioned they were out of ube ice cream as well. I should have asked for a different flavor instead, but I opted for a guava pineapple smoothie, which turned out to be quite good. It really brought back those Hawaiian vibes for me. The service was very friendly, and I’m looking forward to trying the halo halo on my next visit.

The guava ice cream is constantly sold out whenever I visit, which must mean it's really delicious! I'm still looking forward to trying it one day. In the meantime, I enjoy ordering any of their ice creams paired with the ube and matcha cookie crumble. Réservez une table maintenant

Most of the items on the ice cream menu were sold out. We got an avocado milkshake and it just tasted like a vanilla milkshake...$12 for a really mediocre milkshake. I honestly would have rather got McDonald's ice cream after having this.
