Wow! This German restaurant in Highland NY delivers great food, beer and views. My visit was in early November, which was at the tail end of fall colors. The restaurant sits above a valley and the scenery was beautiful. Of course the German cuisine was excellent from pork or chicken schnitzel to a variety of sausages (brat, Weiss, kielbasa) They had 5-6 draft beer selections (german, of course) and excellent looking deserts. I didnt get the deserts as the servings were big and delicious, but I did grab a couple Cowboy cookies from the bakery section at the front door. Service was also very good. This is a cant miss if you find yourself in or around Highland NY.

If you are looking for a great German food, this is a great place to visit. We had the pumpkin Ginger Soup, Fried Artichokes and a German Pretzel with a special diving sauce OUTSTANDING! And for Entrees: Spicy Eggplant Schnitzel and German short bands, both were tasteful and delicious a must stop when in the area It was a very picturesque that was a plus.

What a wonderful find in the apple orchards! Authentic German cuisine with a modern twist. They make the sauerbraten, but instead of the usual brisket they make it with short ribs. Same national dish, more interesting cut of meat.

Atmosphere is warm and inviting! Service was great, our waitress was attentive and helpful! The food was incredible! Great attention to detail and amazing quality! Highly recommended for anyone to try!

What a wonderful place! The setting is beautiful, the food is yummy, and the service is great. My wife is planning on going back just for the french fries that she proclaims are the best in the world.
