I received a notification from Grubhub informing me that my order was canceled a full ten minutes after it was supposed to be delivered. The reason? “Out of menu item.” What kind of Indian restaurant runs out of butter chicken and garlic naan? It's unbelievable and left me hungry. To make matters worse, a Grubhub driver’s time was wasted. This guy was out there trying to earn a living, and instead, he lost both time and a potential good tip. I wish I could still tip him for his effort. It’s a real shame whoever is managing this situation—it feels like a scam.
I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered the chicken biryani and tikka masala. The chicken biryani was decent, but certainly not the best I've had—I’ve enjoyed authentic Indian dishes from various Indian backgrounds. As for the tikka masala, I wish I could share a picture of it because it was essentially just a bowl of chicken swimming in oil. It was completely inedible; after just two bites, I was oil-covered. This is a very poor version of tikka masala. Overall, I don’t think I’ll return, as there are definitely better options out there.
I order here constantly and love it. It's a go to for me. However each time I order I get less and less rice. I ordered 3 entries that should have rice with it and got NO rice and even asked in notes for enough rice with all entries. I spent 130 each time I order and I would expect and appreciate rice to go with our meal. To make matters worse, no phone number is listed to call and ask why I got no rice with my order.
My first experience was through Grubhub, and it was disappointing. The delivery was delayed, and the food arrived cold. What they describe as "chicken morsels" turned out to be neckbones and tiny drumsticks. Nothing looked like the photos. To make matters worse, half of my order was missing. When I called the provided number, I ended up with the franchise owner, who seemed indifferent to the issues at hand.

I can back up what others are saying. It's a scam by delivery apps. After a delivery Driver couldn't find the restaurant I hunted down our food myself and it was a small local-owned restaurant. The mark-up is insanely high. Straight up a scam. Look up the address it says it's at and order from there if you like it.
ORDER THROUGH DOORDASH FROM YOUR RESTUARENT IS NOT DELIVERED, DOORDASH TELLS ME TO CONTACT YOU, UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NO NUMBER FOR YOUR BUSINESS. THIS IS TOTAL SHAMEFUL THAT MONEY IS BEING ROBBED
They have a network of Indian restaurants under them—not even called Gunpowder Cafe. Those restaurants will cancel orders for no reason when ordered online through @Grubhub.
This is not a real restaurant. They are partnering with restaurants that already exist to use their name and charge higher prices for the same food.
