The restaurant consistently delivers great quality food. I believe their chicken is brined because it is consistently juicy and not greasy. I have enjoyed their dishes at home, parties, and work meals. The fried okra is the best in the Bay Area and the chess pie tastes homemade. The white meat chicken is particularly juicy and not dry. Overall, the food is delicious. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars!
Oh my goodness, let me tell you that this was the best chicken I have ever had in my life! Who is Gus and where can I find him because I need his autograph, honey! Forget a 5-star rating, this chicken and mac and cheese were outstanding! I will definitely be returning.
The 3 Piece Dark Plate at this restaurant was satisfactory. The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the Fried Green Tomatoes were delicious. The fries were decent, but the Macaroni and Cheese was disappointing as it was dry.
Admittedly, I was skeptical. I’ve seen the spot while driving and was like, who are they? Well, I tried it, and now I’m like, they are a yes! It was really good. I loved the chicken, slaw, and fries. I’ll be back. Réservez une table maintenant
Good was fire..tasted like somebody granny made it. Chicken was seasoned and crispy, greens flavor rich and Mac cheese was super cheesy. Pie was sweet and buttery. My new go to soul spot
Given the fried chicken competition within a few blocks this place does not register. The fried later is light, but expensive for what you get.
Chicken strip were good and juicy. Fried green tomatoes were seasoned good...unfortunately they were not done and doughy on the inside.
Service was fantastic, food was delicious and piping hot. And the sweet Ice-T was on point! I will be back here very soon. Réservez une table maintenant
This is by far the best chicken ever. We drove from Modesto, ca to try it and we are not disappointed… LOVE IT!!!!
