I had Gus's chicken in Memphis TN about a week prior to coming to this location. I was hoping everything was the same...it pretty much was. The chicken and fried green tomatoes were on point. Just like they were in Memphis. I did not have greens, baked beans, Mac or coleslaw in Memphis but I did try them at this location. I would not order any of those again. The greens were very salty and tasted like they were cooked in Chicken broth. The Mac was not good, definitely a frozen product. Could have been better with a little seasoning. I visited World Famous Gus's Hot Spicy Chicken in Detroit while I was in town for a funeral. I went in on a quiet Monday afternoon and was warmly welcomed with a smile. They asked if I was dining in and directed me to seat myself. A greeter promptly brought over menus and drinks. The food arrived quickly and was hot, tasty, and delicious. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I had no complaints about my experience at Gus's.
Restaurant was nice and clean . Order the 3 piece dinner . Potato salad was excellent. The season fries were amazing. Baked beans was good. The chicken was amazing. The Mac and cheese could’ve stayed in the kitchen , wasn’t good but other than that good good food . Definitely will be back again when i visit Detroit.
Best Fried Chicken I have had hands down. SERIOUSLY!!! Nice and crispy, seasoned PERFECTLY. The BEST!!! The fried green tomatoes are DELICIOUS. I came here because I wanted some fried green tomatoes and decided to get 2 pieces of chicken, baked beans and some mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious!!!

Yummy fried Chicken i’ve had. Not too greasy. got Mac and cheese with Beans as sides. Super Delish. Highly recommend checking this place out. Very neat and hygienic environment. Super friendly and fast service. I will definitely be going again. Totally worth the Hype !!!
Really good chicken. Only seems to come spicy but not overly. I’ve been here a half dozen times and the chicken always seems to be a tad overcooked. But it’s still some of the best store-bought you’ll find.Food: 5/5
Gus's is amazing! It's my aunt's favorite chicken place when she visits from Pittsburgh. The chicken is hot, crispy, and has a touch of heat that sets it apart from anywhere else.
We had a nice meal and an excellent waitress. Chicken was good. It was special: But fired chicken is a clamp in the south. Gus is well compared.

It's good over priced for what you get i would recommend krispy krunchy chicken over this place. Although their iced tea is very good.
