As a vegan, it’s tough to find places to eat when you’re traveling sometimes. Vegetarian? Usually plenty of options. Vegan? Not so much. So we thanked our lucky stars when we came across Cafe Gustav. Absolutely delicious food (the french toast was ridiculously delicious), Terrific and super friendly service. And some unique dishes that are a bit of fusion between traditional Austrian dishes and American dishes. Also, make sure to get the smoothies and latte's! Highly recommended!

We stumbled in here to split a quick brunch on our last morning in Salzburg. We didn't realize it was vegan until after we ordered. Didn't matter.The friendly waitress offered to help us translate the menu to English, however we had already spotted "French toast" and knew that we wanted it.It was light, crispy, sweet, delicious. A different experience from French toast in the US. Whether you're vegan or not, just go get it.

We went there on Saturday morning after breakfast we had Vegan( soya ) coffees & vegan cake All items were great & I'm not Vegan but the coconut cream topped cake was light & fluffy & my vegan friend loved itThe café also does more food items & the staff speak good English & are very welcoming to all

Amazing tumeric latte and beetroot latte! Highly recommended. Very filling and very tasty sandwiches. Lovely and friendly. All vegan. It was busy as others have mentioned, so we sat outside under the umbrella.

We came 8 people and everyone was very pleased with the great sandwiches and salad, all vegan, very fresh and delicious! The service was very kind and the place is kids-friendly.
