Server promised the chimichanga would be crisp, but it was not. Margueritas with salt: Very tasty, but why only 5 grains of salt on rim? Food: Standard for a Louisville Mexican restaurant. Shredded chicken in chimichanga tasted boiled. Cold chips straight out of the bag or box. Gustavo’s is THE place to be! We visited for a long weekend and found this place our first night. We loved it so much we made it back our second night as well. The food is top notch, the spirit selection is one of the best we’ve seen, but it’s the staff that makes it the only place you need to be for dinner! Louis, Jesus, Saul and Gustavo himself made us feel like family. The greeting we were met with when returning that second night made us want to move closer so we could visit all the time! Absolutely stop in to Gustavo’s if you are in Norton Commons!
I went to Gustavo's for the first time last night and it was such an incredible experience! We met Gustavo himself and he was great at checking in to make sure our experience was going well. The ambiance was great as well! The house margarita's were the best margaritas i've ever had, and the chicken tacos were as well. Wish I could pick up the restaurant and bring it back home as i am from out of state. Will definitely be coming back when i'm back in Louisville!
We went for Apron, Chef in a Box and Gustavo's really delivered! The fajitas were excellent along with all the accompaniments. Their queso was so buttery with a little heat. What a delightful place! The service here is absolutely charming—quick, helpful, and accommodating. We requested a salad without onions, a separate plate of tomatoes for my baby, and tacos without sauce, and everything arrived perfectly and with a smile. The food is delicious, and the menu offers a great variety.
Great Tex-Mex choices available. The service was excellent. The highlight of this location is definitely the ambiance, especially the lovely outdoor seating where dogs are welcome. Plus, they have some unique free mouthwash dispensers in the bathrooms. Food rating: 4/5.
