Having stopped in the village of Hattenheim to find a place to eat, we stopped a man walking along the street to ask for his recommendation. He asked us to follow him--which was well worth the walk. He led our group to this restaurant popular with the locals. This is conveniently located just around the corner from the train stop.Though the menu was all in German, the owner spoke good English and was able to explain the terms we were unfamiliar with (wild game/venison). Our meals were very tasty with good sized portions (2 large schnitzels) and reasonably priced.The rump steak was one of the largest, thickest I've seen (more like a filet) which was cooked perfectly.
