The evening here with my wife and parents-in-law got off to a bad start: no Guten Abend from the host when we gave him our name, no help choosing a suitable table and when the waitress arrived to take our order, she was so blunt and impatient that it bordered on rudeness - and yes, all of this was in German.The local Klosterberg Grauburgunder (pinot gris / pinot grigio) was light and refreshing and great value-for-money. The menu offered mainly down-to-Earth regional dishes as well as a couple of surprises like char filets with pomegranite on celery and home-made (potato) gnocchi. Went end of April on a Sunday afternoon. Restaurant was full. There was no asparagus left which was disappointing however the salad was very good fresh & tasty. Main courses mostly traditional German style meat & vegetable very generous portions. Service was ok and the views are beautiful.Playground outside for children.Good for a family visit.

Great food, great wine and great ambiance - what more do you want? Seriously, we went here with a group of friends and all had a terrific meal. Very nice place.
