Our first visit to Hackersley Winery was about 7 years ago. Our 'local' friends booked us in for lunch... the experience stayed with us - gorgeous in every way. We were fortunate to be staying in the area late last year and very keen to revisit and we did - twice in 10 days. Genuinely it was that good! We visited Hackersley last week and loved our experience. It was only our second time in as many years. We remembered being impressed the first time, hence the return visit. We started our visit with a wine tasting. This highly rated winery did not disappoint; all their wines were excellent, especially their merlot. We bought a mixed case to take home. The food was great value for money; a five course degustation for $75. The presentation was five star, the taste very good. The menu changes every seven weeks. We had a family gathering here (no kids). We all had the "degustation" menu (5 courses) that was surprisingly good given the seeming nature of the winery. Some of the group had not eaten this way before but really enjoyed the experience despite not being overly excited by one or two of the dishes (the fish dish had excellent sauce but the fish itself tended to be overcooked).We accompanied the meal with a Verdelho and a few bottles of rose. Both very acceptable.It was a wet and wild day and the dam the restaurant overlooks was al most over its bank. Even with the rain, we could spot kangaroos on the far hillside. Went here on a special occasion and we were anticipating much. The degustation menu sounds good and off we went. We had rabbit, french onion soup, fish, duck and tomato desert with spiced fruit.Dont get me wrong, the food was nice and it is a pleasant place but i don't think we were the right customers for such a place. It is just a feeling that you get when you enter and we did not get that feeling. Summary, if your food tastes run to minimalist dining with cultured surroundings, make your way there and enjoy. If you are unsure, please give it a go and make up your own mind.

Hi,Going here for years and never been disappointed. The food is just amazing. Their Merlot is one of my favourite wines.I cannot recommend it more highly. If I had a Michelin star to give away I would give it to them and trust me I am a foodie and am always looking for the best restaurants wherever I go.And than the whole Ferguson area is just gorgeous and Hackersley Restaurant is in a wonderful setting.Just try it and enjoy,Gids(make sure you have a good few hours and bring your friends)
It's hard to find adjectives that aren't cliche to describe this place, but it's one of the best lunch experiences I've ever had. A group of four of us went in celebration of a '50ish' birthday and the day was simply amazing, from the wine tasting, to the view, to the service, to the utter perfection of each and every delectable course. Do yourself a favour, and don't miss it.
We've visited Hackersley many times now. Their degustation menu changes every six or seven weeks and is fabulous every time. Located in the Ferguson Valley about 30ks from Bunbury it's one of the finest restaurants in the south west of WA. We've travelled throughout Europe and it's right up there to some of the best meals we've had anywhere.
Could not fault the wonderful service, the relaxed atmosphere, and the food ! Every course was just so perfectly presented and tasted just amazing.The wine is also very good so nice to taste the whole range, then choose what bottle to share.Enjoyed just a wonderful afternoon Lovely way to celebrate our wedding anniversary

The constantly changing menu keeps us going back time & time again!We recently held a small baby shower for my sister here and arrived to a beautifully set table.
