We arrived at 8:15 a.m., shortly after the restaurant opened, and the hostess greeted us with, "Can I help you?" (Well, yes, we were there to eat). We were led to a table and handed menus. At that point, the small dining area was less than half full, with two servers handling the room. After waiting patiently for 10 minutes without any server approaching us, providing water, or even informing us that someone would be with us shortly, we noticed that both servers were busy chatting with regulars and taking drink orders from customers who arrived after us.
Feeling ignored, we decided to leave and informed the hostess of our reasons for doing so. The response we received was a lackluster apolo...
We decided to drive from downtown to try this place because of its good reviews. However, it seemed they weren't quite prepared for the holiday rush. Unfortunately, Half and Half truly lived up to its name. The coffee was bitter, the potatoes were burnt, and the donuts tasted more like sweet hushpuppies. The slaw on the BLT omelet turned out to be nothing more than chopped iceberg lettuce. At least the rest of the omelet was decent, and my partner said her breakfast sandwich was okay. Overall, our experience at Half and Half was disappointing.
Ok, I have eaten here in person for years and I decides to treat myself with lunch delivery today. I got the smoked salmon avocado toast. The smoked salmon was not salted and I can safely say that this is the norm for smoked salmon. I question if it was simply raw because it in no way tasted like smoked salmon. This was a extremely bad experience.
I don’t understand what’s wrong with this place. inconsistency is their defining feature. they can be good but often you get food that is below their capabilities and very slow service. I waited nearly an hour for breakfast this morning. pretty much ruined my morning. I will not be going back. they’ve had their second chances with me.

Half Half was a great change from the traditional large chain breakfast restaurants. They're pretty busy on weekend mornings so put yourself on the waiting list and time your arrival and all will be well. We love breakfast food, I've tried a number of the morning breakfast items. We've visited 3 times in the last 2 weeks!
Perfect diner, delicious breakfast, and great service! Absolutely no complaints waitress was nice and helpful, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Would highly recommend coming here, eggs benedict, french toast, ham, and brussel sprouts were all delicious.
There is usually a wait to get in here. The food is good and they have great coffee. I had a southwest salad, it was good. My wife had breakfast tacos and said they were great.
Great place for breakfast, and a perfect spot for casual business meetings. Food was fairly priced, and the quality exceeded. I just wish it was open later than 2:00pm!

Paying $28 for just one item was not worth it. You might get a better value if you dine in, as it could include more food.
