Myself and my friends have had quite a few meals here over the years. We attended for Sunday lunch on 10th December at 3pm. The restaurant was really busy when we arrived as they were finishing off alot of tables of earlier lunches so we did not expect brilliant service. It took 30 mins for someone to take our order. Wait for starter was reasonable, small delay and then lunch came. All was OK with food. 30 mons passed again and still had dirty plates on table. 4 female serving staff had disappeared and one male holding things down. The service was okay and the food was mediocre at best. We came here for Sunday lunch and were disappointed when part of our meal was not available. Instead of offering a suitable alternative, we were given something that was already included in our meal. To make matters worse, the table next to us arrived and ordered after us, yet their meal included the supposedly unavailable food item. The staff did not apologize or acknowledge the mistake, despite noticing it. The turkey tasted like pre-packaged meat, with an extremely watery and tasteless flavor.
Lovely setting, overlooking river. Been here before and had good service and good pub food. Today was a disappointment. Dirty tables left uncleared. Dirty toilets, again left uncleaned. Young staff, clearly not trained in the hospitality industry, standing around, and not doing their job. Confusing, ordering service. Was finally told orders would be taken 45 minutes after we were given a number, then a further 45 minutes wait for the food to be prepared.
We booked two nights for a bed and breakfast advertised on the website. However, when we woke up the next morning, we were informed that they had stopped offering that two weeks prior. The bed was uncomfortable as we could feel the springs all night and barely got any sleep. There was no one available overnight to address our concerns. We complained the next day and they switched our rooms, but we experienced the same issue again.

The restaurant is located next to the river Severn in a quiet rural area, offering a picturesque view from our table by the window. Despite the slight delay in receiving our food and missing vegetables, the dishes we did receive were delicious. However, there were some issues with the bill at the end of the meal, which was eventually resolved. Overall, despite the hiccups, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere, earning a rating of 2.
Decided to have food and drink by the river. Busy but steady and didn't wait long to be served. Staff took our food order at the table after about 20 mins to allow us to view the menu and select what to have. I had gammon and my wife had Thai beef salad. Food arrived and was very tasty.
This inn sits right on the River Severn. We booked a nights B&B and the room was comfortable, clean and tidy with all the extra touches. Leah was tremendous, her welcome was really warm, her knowledge of the local area was excellent. Leah is a credit for the people that employ her
6 of us in the group. 2 vegetarians. 1 gluten intolerant. The food was delicious. Good portion size and variety. Nice and hot. Each course was delivered to the table quickly but we never felt rushed. The staff were just wonderful and very attentive.

The food here is amazing!! Never had such a good meal before! We are out of the area, visiting with family but will definitely be returning. Faultless! Try the garlic prawns!
