Halls Chophouse offered not only exceptional food but also an extraordinary dining experience. First and foremost, reservations are definitely necessary! I booked a month in advance and my only time slots were 4:00 PM or 10:00 PM. When we arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming and even inquired if we were celebrating something special—indeed, we were, as it was our anniversary before my fiancé proposed. What a greeting we received upon entering the restaurant! The staff and owners truly made us feel welcome. Be sure to make reservations in advance, but we were fortunate to get a table the same day. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the dry-aged ribeye was the most flavorful steak I’ve ever had. Although the dessert presentation was impressive, the steak presentation could have been better. Overall, I highly recommend this place!
Wow! The owner held the door open for us and shook our hands—the start of an amazing dining experience. The service was outstanding. This is the best steak restaurant we’ve been to! Highly recommend making a reservation and dining at Halls. They treat you like family! They were very accommodating with dietary requests as well. Anything fried they could make gluten free! My husband and I have deemed this our spot now when we come to Charleston! Thank you Halls for a wonderful experience!
I visited the Jubilee in Halls and arrived before my reservation time. Despite how busy they were, I was quickly seated. The manager was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The waiting staff was attentive and knowledgeable; our waiter answered all our questions and offered some excellent recommendations. The food was amazing. very nice place to dinate. for me it was about customer service. the owner or chef manager and assistent manager welcomed us several times and sincerely wanted us to have a great experience. the team was phenomenal! and the live music. wow! they will not hear the live music while sitting in the dining room. only in the bar area. we had field green salad, salmon, roast green tomato, garnel and grits and chocolate cake. everything was excellent. it's an attempt.
This is an old school steakhouse, when you enter the building you are transported back in time. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The cocktails we drank were excellent, steaks were cooked to perfect temperature. The side dishes are large portions so get ready to bring left overs home. Only problem I had at halls is the wedge salad, they serve it with a whole slice of bacon on top. How do you cut bacon with a salad knife???
We went here for the gospel brunch and it was fantastic. I got the crab cake eggs Benedict my wife got the fillet and both were excellent. It's tough to get a reservation here, but if you would like to go for the gospel brunch you can get there at 9:30 before they open and get a table. The owner was very attentive and walked around greeting people and the staff was very nice. We would definitely go back here.
Everything about this restaurant was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and the service here is unmatched! The plates are delicious and their presentation is beautiful!
