I highly recommend trying the Hot Pot; it was flavorful and enjoyable. The Halves were also a standout dish that shouldn’t be missed. Overall, a delightful dining experience that I would gladly revisit!
For the money, I recommend going to another place for hotpot. This is 42.5 dollars before tip and tax which is fine, but I also never had a tonkustu broth being so foamy and overflow when the heat is up, but then when the fire is down, it takes 5 mins to broil up which is frustrating to wait. However, in the end the waiter helped find the right temperature that cooks fast . But the portion is just small and veggies are not free refill Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
The food at Halves is fantastic, featuring high-quality meats and fresh vegetables. However, the atmosphere is lacking for the price you pay. I'd love to return, but the date night menu prices don’t match the ambiance of a nice restaurant. I wish they would enhance the comfort, perhaps with better seating. We ended up spending $120 (including tip) for two people, which included the Halves menu and one drink each. Service was for dine-in.
I visit this restaurant as a special treat with my husband or cousins. The A5 wagyu is a definite must-try. They have a great selection of dishes while still maintaining high quality. The staff is consistently accommodating and friendly. It can get pretty crowded, so be prepared to wait in line. The inside can also get a bit warm. This place was fantastic! We had Shabu tonight, but they also offer a grill for an amazing BBQ experience right at the table. The Wagyu is a bit disappointing, but you can't go wrong with their signature NY strip and Black Angus ribeye. Be sure to try the Japanese roasted chicken appetizer—it's the best you'll find anywhere!
What a fantastic concept! Both shabu and japanese BBQ at the same time. The quality of the meat and veggies was great. They had some really tasty dipping sauces that worked we with both the shabu and the jbbq. Our server was very accommodating and we had an overall great time. I will definitely come back soon ?
