I decided to visit this food cart because it was conveniently located near my home and had received numerous positive reviews. Upon arrival, I noticed four halal carts, and this one seemed to be the most popular, which I took as a good sign. However, as I observed the staff, I realized they didn't appear to be of Asian descent. I asked for my food to be made spicier, but the lady merely shrugge...
For the price, this is one of the best deals around—$7 or $8 for a packed container of food. I've tried about a dozen different halal carts in various locations, and the flavor and consistency here make it my second favorite, right after the original spots in the city. It’s not because they taste the same; their flavor profiles are actually quite different. I think I might have gotten sick from one meal here, maybe twice, but I’m not entirely sure. I've eaten from this cart over 150 times. My only wish is that the lamb wasn't served as a patty that’s chopped up, but rather as real ground lamb, like the original carts do.
I truly think this is the best halal cart in the city, although the time of day you go can make a big difference. At night, the quality tends to vary, but during the day, you’re likely to enjoy some outstanding food. Update for 2023: it’s still fantastic!
I believe they either have a new owner or have changed the recipe. It’s still tasty, don’t get me wrong, but I preferred the original version. This one has visible onions and green peppers inside.

Got chicken over rice and once from the cart next to them and hands down the taste of the food was better, the meat was fresher and the sauce was good and fresh from Hamza and Medina.
I only eat from here when the shorter guy is there, every time he goes away to Afghanistan, I’ve noticed me and bunch of other guys wouldn’t eat from here.
Always fresh and tasty dishes served in generous portions, accompanied by welcoming and friendly staff.
This business also one of the great ones in the NY. His behavior and service is always great.
