I've never given a one-star review before. This is my first. The food at this restaurant is too salty and too sweet: it's not very authentic. I can handle it, but as a native Korean it doesn't really hit the spot for me. However, the reason this is dropping to one star is because of how rudely I was treated by some of the staff at this establishment. No matter how busy they were, a bit of patience would have gone a long way. I asked a simple question, and was spoken to rudely by an older Korean woman who worked there, though. I'm not sure if she's a chef or an owner or what, but the way she spoke to me was inappropriate and I will never be going back nor recommending this restaurant to anyon...
I believe this restaurant serves more to the American palette and people who are just trying out Korean food for the first time. The atmosphere was warm and the decorations looked very nice. However, the food was lacking and the kiosk ordering method gave me a feeling that this place doesn’t know if they want to be fast casual restaurant or a nice sit down place. The two soups we ordered were expensive—higher prices than others in the area and even when compared to prices in Nova or NYC. I also found it strange that they didn’t bring kimchi with the banchan which feels absolutely unorthodox for a Korean restaurant. The food is okay but you have to wait soooo long even for a small bowl of rice.. They bring 3 small side dishes per table WITH your food.. so you just sit there starving for 20-30 minutes. They rarely check the iPad ordering system so you have to ask the staff for stuff. What’s the point of the iPad. Friendly staff.
First came to this spot years ago.. and it changed for the better over the years by a lot.. Food quality and service improved and the atmosphere definitely modernized.. This is our new favorite Korean restaurant.. Cant wait to try more of the soups as the weather gets colder..
