We have dined at Harvester several times before, including this location in Amesbury. Unfortunately, this visit may have been our last. The food quality was poor, and the service was slow. It no longer felt like good value for money. The Mac n cheese lacked sauce and was just overcooked pasta with melted cheese on top. The kids' chicken strips were small, chewy, and dry, with the smallest piece being only 1cm long. My wife's steak was burnt on the outside and tough on the inside. My brie and tomato tart was soggy and undercooked. The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive at our table, even though they were sitting on the bar for 10 minutes. Been sitting for 15mins with no service. Another customer was overheard saying he been waiting 30 mins. Toilet out of order. I 've been told that women 's toilets reeked of stale urine. Coffee tasted of dish soap and bleach; I guess there no rinse option on the dishwasher. Half way through the rather forced cup both my and wife 's tongues started to 'burn ' and we both gave up on our respective drinks Encrusted fork. Waited for swap coffee. Initially told they were out of bacon for breakfast... . Clever person nipped to Asda across road and bought some, eventually. Also couldn 't find 'no tip ' option on machine easily. Urgently requires a visit from food standards tbh.
We had a truly wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were great, although it was quite busy and could have used a couple more people. However, everyone working there was very polite and helpful. The manager was also very friendly and hardworking. The only downside was that the toilets were messy, but it was understandable given how busy it was. I brought this to the manager's attention and she said she would take care of it immediately. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!
The restaurant is cozy and pleasant, with delicious food that we both enjoyed. Our experience was enhanced by Ellie, who provided friendly and efficient service with a smile. The restaurant has vegetarian options available, although I cannot comment on their quality as I am not a vegetarian. Excellent festive roast turkey meal, best roast we’ve ever had whilst eating out. The photo is the children’s meal (I’m an adult but have a small appetite). well it is far from the ultimate breackfast first sausages are worst i have ever tried first were over cooked then second just terrible ,not toast served with it and tomatos dry aswell stay well clear

Driving to West Country so stopped here en route. Gluten free menu available. Our server, Nike, was helpful and attentive. Menu was substantial and the food well prepared and cooked.
