First time here. Overall, the food was really good. Fish used for sushi was fresh, delicious and good size. The service was poor. The wait staff seemed disorganized. We were seated at the sushi bar. The chef greeted and a wait staff came by for a drink order. Then we waited a bit. Our drinks were delivered. Then we wanted to order appetizers which we needed to order from a waitstaff not from a sushi chef. Then we waited and waited. Another staff noticed that we were looking around looking for something. He took our order. At this point, we started ordering sushi. Sushi was really good. Compared to other places, they were about 50-100% more pricy. I wouldn't be coming here on a regular basis....

I heard this restaurant is one of the best options for Japanese cuisine in Huntington Beach, but my experience was somewhat mixed. The quality of the sashimi and sushi was just average, and I encountered a particularly problematic dish where the salmon roe was so stale it shouldn't have been served. The octopus slices were overly chewy and hard to eat. The specialty rolls we tried were decent, and the black cod steamed with mushrooms and green onion had good flavor, though the sauce was a bit too spicy for my taste. Have a day off, thought of going back to Hashigo to enjoy some authentic sushi at sushi bar. I was out of luck, one of the fish company was late delivering their fish, so I ended up ordering whatever is available. Clearly the chef who served me today is not the master chef. I stopped here on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered take out.I got the poke bowl lunch $15) which included a salad and two potstickers. The sauce for the salad was delicious. The sushi rice was also good. There were also bits of avocado mixed in. The variety of fish was good. However, some of the fish was a bit fishy. Had a bit of a tummy ache after the meal. I would order something else next time. It seems like they put remaining fish parts discards in the poke bowl. The restaurant itself is clean no spacious. They also have an outdoor patio. Make a reservation immediately. Worth every penny. Incredible experience; from the service to the food BEYOND TOP NOTCH. 20/10 recommend. Beginning at the atmosphere to the quality of food... brace yourself, it's Nobu grade. Service exceeds your expectations before you know you need something, the servers show up making sure your experience is immaculate leaving you wanting for nothing. The quality of fish and food melts in your mouth and leaves you wishing there was more room in my belly. Don't look any further and find your happiness at Hashigo today

The sushi here is the freshest in Huntington Beach, possibly even in all of Orange County. We've been dining here regularly and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The desserts are outstanding as well, and the presentation is just as impressive as the flavor! Overall, it's truly exceptional! Jimmy is a wonderful host! Food rating: 5/5.

Party of 5 that sat on the patio. The owner and the staff were very nice and accommodating! Our server, Jeff, was funny, personalable, and also very very busy! The food was delicious (try the Wasabi stock, you won't regret it) and the sake was great! We will 100% come back the next time we are in town.Food: 5/5

Very good sushi.. dragon roll and crunchy rolls were really good.Service was prompt and Friday night was busy.. we got food on time and even my 3 year old baby loved the crispy calamari..Very nice inside, we will definitely be back.. Réservez une table maintenant
