As you will see, Hardware Lane has numerous restaurants and Harker Boys is the 2nd one you come to on the right. If you pass it by, the others will harass you until you agree to eat with them, even giving you free first drink and appetizer. But, just stop right here and enjoy some great Viet Nam cooking. My wife had Lemongrass Chicken and I had beef and chicken Pho and began with Classic Prawn roll. All of it was great. The chicken and beef were the best I've gotten at an Asian restaurant. The staff was friendly and it was just a great experience. When we were looking at the menu, two locals told us we couldn't do better and that they ate there at least once a week. They were right.
I tried a variety of dishes and was pleased with all of them. The chicken banh mi was especially tasty and the bread was freshly baked. It was a nice touch that the chicken was breast meat. The chicken wontons were surprisingly delicious and the baos were also very good. However, I have to deduct a star because some of the chicken pieces were quite thin, leading to a higher ratio of breading to chicken. Despite this, I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant.
The Hawker Boys' VSP is a brilliant adaptation of a Vietnamese lunch box. Everything you want from Vietnamese food, all together! A rice paper roll, two fried spring rolls, and a bahn mi - all of your choice. And all of that for $15!The bahn mi was a particular stand out - who would have thought tiger bread would work so amazing. The super crunchy outside with the soft inside is exactly what you'd expect to get from a food stall in the streets of Vietnam.
We had dinner here, my fried ordered chilli chicken wontons and ginger dumplings. I ordered the vege noodle salad and tofu bao. This was so much food for the two of us but so delicious. The space is nice and fresh too. Really recommend this place for sharing meals.

Four of us had a nice Saturday lunch here, We ordered lemongrass chicken with rice and salad, chicken wings, pork spring rolls, pork in crispy tiger roll and a chicken roll all were fresh, tasty and the service was great, Friendly staff
Excellent, unpretentious little place. Lovey smiling service.Cold Vietnamese beer and a delicious, fresh BBQ lemon grass chicken Bahn Mi in wonderfully crispy "tiger rolls" made for Saturday lunch time happiness. Spot on value.
Food is delicious, service fantastic and prices are reasonable, serve a mix of rice bowls and buns with tofu and meat options. Highly recommend it.
Recommend the beef pho and lemon grass chicken rice, we loveeeee it ! And the price are very reasonable as well, with big portion ! Worth a try
