Amazing bar with the lowest prices, cheapest place in Jersey City to get a beer. $4 for a 16oz draft?? Insane. You can’t find that price in other Grove St locations.I love the atmosphere. As a bar hopper, I feel like there’s a homey environment where you’ll meet a lot of locals. Their firefighter crowd can be pretty fun. I’d recommend this place for anyone looking for a bar that feels like home.And again, you can’t beat the prices. The fact that I can get the priciest cocktail on the menu for $12. Name another place you can say that about in Jersey City. Charles is awesome, ask for him at the bar
My partner and I moved to Jersey City two years ago and out of all the places we’ve gone we had one of the best experiences at Healy’s. Really great vibes and the staff were beyond nice and helpful with menu items and recommendations. We heard they’ve been under new ownership for about a year and have made a ton of great changes to the menu, staff, and did a big renovation to add an outdoor space. Highly recommend!
Kind staff, tasty food and a variety of beers available. Love myself a Yuengling and some buffalo chicken tenders! Older crowd here is so refreshing for a mature, easygoing vibe. I’m 33 and will be coming here more often to catch a sports game or enjoy my break as opposed to being ignored for 5 minutes at a time at the overpriced hipster abominations for bars further downtown!
I hadn't visited in five years, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional Reuben sandwich. It’s great to have outdoor seating again, creating a lovely atmosphere. As always, Renny the bartender was incredibly friendly. I'm so grateful to live just steps away—especially since I’m moving back to Jersey City. This is going to become my go-to spot!

We needed a last-minute indoor venue for a birthday party because of the weather, and Healy’s really came through for us! They reserved a couple of tables and provided catering prices for a large food order. The prices were excellent, and the service and atmosphere were fantastic! I only wish we had found this place earlier.
Healy’s Tavern has now operated under new ownership for ~1 year and continues to be an excellent local bar. The bartenders are great, the food is great, and the owners keep making welcomed additions to the bar (dart bar, renovated outdoor space).
Thank you for your quick clarification of my previous complaint. I had a fantastic experience at the bar. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. I'll definitely be returning for more Magners Irish Cider!
Although the drink prices and overall atmosphere meet the standards of a dive bar, the food elevates Healy's to a league of its own. My only regret is that I waited so long to visit this tavern for the first time.

Amazing chicken fingers and hand cut fries. The food is amazing!!! The beer is cold and the bartenders are awesome!!! We always come here before a show at White Eagle Hall.
Everyone there is so friendly! The food was great, love their wings. Cheapest and COLDEST beer in jersey city. I am officially nominating myself as their newest regular!
