A little out of the way for tourists, however, for an aussie pub lunch experience you cannot go wrong with this establishment. The lunch deal is excellent value at $10.00 for the usual suspects. Parmy, caesar salad etc. We had the fish n chips (which was huge) and the rump steak with chips and salad topped with dianne sauce for $12.00. The drinks are also reasonably priced. As can be expected from a tavern you get what you pay for. We visited as a family group and everyone was happy with their meal. I had the beef curry which was flavoursome and a good sized portion. Not the loveliest surroundings and the service could have been better (a little slow and then dirty dishes left on the table for a good while after we had finished) but overall can't complain.
My friends and I came for dinner on a Monday. The menu was pretty extensive bar food.The Tavern has a great dinner special on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays for $12.I got the chicken parmigiana, which was huge and very tasty, and my one friend got the seafood basket and the other had the 250 g rump steak (that one cost $14)
Ordered chips n gravy. Waited 40 minutes and asked how long it would be . The massively tall woman behind bar told me she made mistake and kitchen wasn 't even open. Dined here a few times - food is always fantastic. Good specials offered and the calamari I ordered was perfect Only complaint is the speed of service, was busy and took a while to get the food. But worth the waitStaff very friendly and obliging

Nice Pub, good staff, good drinks, unfortunately did not enjoy our meals, maybe an off night but everything was wrong.
