I fell in love with the food here after the first bite. First of all, I’m not a fan of American food; however, Helm has changed my mind. This place is just became one of my favorite restaurant in Philly! The best scallops I've ever had, so tender and flavorful. It was just WOW in my mouth! Everything we had was so good. And what I like most about here is their menu, they based on seasonal ingredients. So you get to try different dishes every season. Can’t wait to come back and try their next seasonal menu. FYI it’s BYOB here, which is a bonus! It's such a cozy, fun vibe inside. Service was very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this place!
I recently dined at the most charming little restaurant that served absolutely incredible food! The service provided by Amy was outstanding, she took great care of us. Now, let's talk about the food... Oh my goodness, my taste buds were in awe! The flavors, presentation, and unique combinations were unlike anything I've experienced before. I can't even find the right words to describe just how delicious and pleasantly surprising each dish was. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit any more in my stomach. Thank you Helm for a wonderful dining experience!
American cuisine, elevated is the best way to describe Helm. Each dish is simply descrobed on their chalkboard menu but the flavors are extraordinary. Low cost plus a BYOB, this place is a must try. The smoked carrots have never left the menu and I understand why. Imagine the best hot dog you ever had but it's a carrot. The banana bread with foie is probably one of the most unique bites in Philly and it was amazing. Highly recommend going in a group of 4 or 5 so you can share plates and try most if not all of the menu.
This is the cutest little restaurant where you would least expect to find AMAZING food!!!Service was fabulous- thank you Amy for taking such great care of us. This is definitely my favorite spot in Philadelphia. I am amazed at how wonderful this hidden gem is. It is always creative and consistently fantastic. If this were the only BYOB restaurant I ever went to in Philly, I wouldn't regret it at all.
This place was so cool. We came with a large group and did family style which was pre-defined courses and meals, and loved everything! It's also in a cool location, and BYOB, so you really can't beat it.
Absolutely phenomenal experience, always! We are repeat customers and have always left completely satisfied. The carrots and the ravioli are personal favorites.
