Was happy to return to one of my old haunts on my recent business trip to Southern Cal. Have been going to Hennessey’s on Manhattan Beach Blvd since I first started traveling to LA on business in the 80s. I think of Hennessey’s as sort of a home port where I can relax, watch a ballgame and have some comfort food. During my most recent visit, I sat at the bar with a focus on having an early dinner (around 530pm). Bar staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered soup and a burger. Food came out promptly. Not worth it choose a different Manhattan Beach restaurant. The staff is extremely rude to customers. As local Manhattan Beach residents, we had been coming to Hennessey's for years. Our friends felt this place was always mediocre and we would bring them here anyway to support this restaurant. That is no longer the case and wow were we wrong. On our last visit, the staff was extremely rude to my husband for NO REASON. Advice to owners get new management and staff asap. This place is always empty when we have walked by in recent months and now I know why. Awful treatment from your staff does not sit well with the residents of Manhattan Beach, clean it up and do better.
Visited on 9.3.19, ordered the 2 for 1 burgers. Food was delicious, service was excellent. When the bill arrived I didn’t pay attention to the total just signed. Leaving Manhattan Beach, I look at the check noticed it was for the full price, I called spoke with the manager who apologized took care of the error immediately. Next time I’m in the area I plan on making this a must go to place. Thank you to the staff!!!! Helene
Went with a friend on a Friday night and there was a live band. Well a woman and a guy and THEY WERE AWESOME..they engaged with the crowd although it wasnt busy at all, I like intimate spaces. Drinks were stiff,energy was great, and waiter was very helpful. Although they stopped serving food at a certain time and I really wanted to try their calamari I cant complain at all. I'd definately go again

We were looking for a light lunch and Hennessey's was perfect. We ordered the salmon salad and Cobb salad. Both were delicious and filled with quality ingredients. Talia was our server. She took great care of us. All of the staff were very friendly.
We visited this restaurant for dinner on our final day of vacation, and we were very impressed. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and I absolutely loved the outdoor seating. We’ll definitely be returning, especially for the dessert!
This Irish bar is located right on Manhattan Beach. The food is typical bar fare—nothing extraordinary. However, the service is friendly, the location and views are fantastic, and the beer is nicely chilled.
I was in town for a brief visit and I'm really glad I chose to eat here. It's conveniently located near Manhattan Beach and is pet-friendly.
