Came here for the night time exhibition viewing experience and party Goddess Nights the experience was vibrant and bustling. Ticketing was easy, entry was quick even though there was a long line at 7pm. A great selection of drinks, the food was pretty minimal pizza slices or party pies lasagne flavoured?! . Although grateful for hot food and at a very affordable price $6 Great cloaking facilities. The exhibition space is wonderful; down stairs, and well separated exhibition pieces to stop the sound from bleeding, but still draw you in an experiential journey. ACMI is trying hard to improve it’s offering as an alternative to the NGV and has captured the interest of a young market during the d...

This venue is an excellent option for affordable education and entertainment. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful. They took the time to explain the layout of the exhibition and offered tips on how to enhance our experience. The main exhibition is free, except for an optional donation, and there are some temporary exhibits that require a small fee. The artifacts were captivating and provided us with valuable insights into the history of cinema, film, and television. We particularly enjoyed the miniature TV rooms representing different eras and the opportunity to receive a flip book of ourselves at the end from the shop. I highly recommend this place for people of all ages...

Amazing interactive museum about cinema, TV and even a little section on videogames. Children and adults alike will love it! It is free, and operates on donations, which for sure you will gladly make after you discover everything they have. I saw the exhibition Goddess, and it was absolutely fantastic, very very informative and well organised. Fantastic place for a rainy day, I highly recommend.

This could be one of the best museums I've ever visited. It's interactive (allowing you to save digital exhibits to revisit online), informative, and thoroughly covers the subject of screen culture. It's definitely worth a visit, so take your time exploring everything—from moving pictures to sound effects, video games, and filmmaking. Oh, and did I mention that entry is free? One of the best free experiences available in Melbourne. Lots of interactive activities, and promotes you to visit every attraction there using their scan disc. Went with the wife and younger sisters and had a blast here. They also have some free retro games to try out towards the end. Definitely a must visit when in Melbourne!

This museum is quite fascinating and offers a retrospective look at its subject matter. Admission is free, but expect to encounter many school groups on weekdays. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in tourist attractions and wanting to learn more about the history of media and film in Australia.

one of the best interactive museums ive ever been to! the goddess power rebellion costed me 10 bucks as a student, the story of moving image is free for everyone: both of them are really great and there was a gaming experience too. totally worth it
