The Hexenstrauße is our favourite Strauße in the Kaiserstuhl. We have been there often during the past 15 to 20 years and know the owners and the staff very well. Consequently, the service was excellent. The very good local German food is similar to that...in other Straußes but, coupled with the excellent service, our overall rating is excellent.

It was nearly a year since we were last in the Hexenstrauße and we enjoyed another very good dinner there with friends, with Tapis followed by 'Leberle und Brägele ' for the men and Flammenkuchen for the ladies. The service was very good as usual. Hopefully,...we will we will enjoy another meal before the Strauße closes for the summer.

Four of us met in the witch bouquet after it was opened for the new autumn season, and again we were not disappointed. We started with tapas divided between us four, followed by three small flame cakes and for me, my favorite emperor... with avenge '. We hope to go back there before we leave Germany next month.
Another year has gone by since my last review. This time, we went mid week, rather than at the weekend, and enjoyed the alternative main course of Rindfleisch mit Meerrittisch (beef with horseradish sauce) and Brägele (fried potatoes), which was excellent, as was the service...that went with it.
We met with old friends to enjoy another very good "Leberle and Brägele" in the witch bouquet. The event was noticeable by the fact that the ostriches may not remain open for much longer, because problems in attracting suitable employees have a problem...the other ostriches also.
We tend to go here once in spring and once in autumn. This time we went on a Friday night, so I ordered the "Leberle and Brägele" which, as I expected, was very good. Since we were there, there were more mosaic murals added to the interior decoration and they look very good. Réservez une table maintenant
