Another point to mention is that the parking area has become somewhat smaller, as some spots are now reserved for cabins, which is understandable. However, there is an honest parking fee of £4 if you're just visiting the café or heading to Shepherd's Crag. For climbers, this fee can be shared among the group. In the past, parking used to be free, but it was required to stop into the café after your ascent. Unfortunately, too many people failed to do this over the years, and the parking spots are on private land. Therefore, I think £4 per car per day is quite reasonable. If you plan to visit the cliffs and find the parking lot full, you might consider taking the road to Kettlewell or headin...

It is not the most luxurious place I have stayed in, but probably one of the most unique ones! It all starts with Yolandi being such a wonderful person, taking care ot everything and everyone. She has an unbelievable taste for interior design and turned this old barn into a cozy B&B. The rooms are are fairly small, but each is unique with lovely furniture and paintings. The bathroom is shared with the other residents, but this is not a problem in real life. All is clean and immaculate. Coming into the breakfast room in the morning is a special treat it is decorated with so much love and detail, you almost forget to eat. Thank you for the great experience and we hope to see you again.

the perfect place to park when climbing on shepherd’s crag. a 5 minute walk to some great trad rises: little chamonix and jackdaw ridge are 3* low cost for multi-pitch beginners and there are many decent, harder routes. when they're done, they're gonna call in caffeine.
