I absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh and incredible! The service was friendly and attentive, with great suggestions for our orders. I had the cheese and spinach quiche, while my mother tried the Greek omelet. The menu offers a wide variety of options. The restaurant is themed around the adorable Highland Terriers that inspired its name. It's definitely the best breakfast in Central Florida, served all day long. I highly recommend it!
Show up around 08:30 AM, we thought the place was close cause the parking was empty, but it was open… we order a simple breakfast… my wife plate was O.K she didn’t finish cause it was overly salty, my plate was full of cooking grease, the corn beef was burnt potatoes drench in oil the toast drenched in butter on both plates and everything taste overly salted… first time here and will never go back… this place should be called (greasy spoon)…
Always a great experience at Highland Cafe. Typical busy Saturday morning, line was out the door and parking can be a bit of an issue. Mushroom cheese omelet was fantastic, hash browns and bacon were cooked perfectly, sausage gravy was excellent. Pancakes here are not my favorite, good but not awesome. Definitely recommend the Big Breakfast or an omelet. Service staff is always friendly.
Had the best 14 oz. Ribeye with garlic butter of Mount Dora today. Longhorn Steakhouse is my absolute favorite but I will be returning to Highland Street Cafe for my steak meals while I'm here in Central Florida. Staff was friendly. Check out the skirt on that steak! Réservez une table maintenant
Locals in downtown recommend HSC and we were blown away by the food and the service. It was so good we will definitely be back. The biscuits are so fluffy and tasty and the grits are the best I’ve had since leaving Atlanta.
Puddle Jumpers has great ambience you can sit outside and gaze at Lake Dora and the seaplanes, all while enjoying tasty nachos made with freshly made kettle chips. They have tasty mahi tacos, too, plus a fully stocked bar.
Best breakfast I?ve ever had! Wonderful service and food. The atmosphere is great And cozy. We are visiting in the area and stopped in to try it and it did not disappoint! This is a must go for breakfast locally!
