Where to start We entered the restaurant at 6.30 and asked for a table for 2 people. The restaurant was half empty, but the owner told us they were full tonight and we couldn’t eat here as we didn’t have a reservation. The waiter didn’t seem to agree with him and was surprised by his answer. However take away was possible. We left, went for a drink next door, and actually came back at 7.30 to order for take away. The place was not more crowded. Came back again at 7.45 to pick up our food. The place was again as empty as when we first entered. And I said to my friend: it seems we would have had the time to eat considering no other people entered the restaurant to eat here in the last 1h15 win...
Our family visited HILAL BALTI House over the weekend for an Indian takeaway. After hearing good things about it from a friend who dines there regularly, we decided to give it a try. We placed our order online, ordering eight main courses along with a variety of starters and sides. I received a 15% discount for ordering online, and was pleasantly surprised to also be given a chilled bottle of white wine. The manager personally brought our food out to the car and ensured it was packed safely. We had a wonderful evening enjoying the delicious food, and there was even enough left over for a meal for two the following night.
I recently had dinner at this restaurant and was quite disappointed. The food used to be amazing, but this time the meat was overcooked and tough. The restaurant itself is in desperate need of renovating and decorating, as it was quite cold and a little depressing inside. I won't be rushing back unless changes are made.
