Hingham Lobster Pound

I have never written a negative review before, but I got food poisoning at this place two days ago. I was sick all night with vomiting, shaking, headaches, and chills. The woman who took my money and brought back the food was rude and didn't cook properly, or maybe they served me old haddock. I do not recommend eating here. I paid $20 for a terrible experience. I want to drive by and let them know how awful their food made me feel. Avoid this place at all costs. Lunch cost around $20-30 per person. Food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 1 out of 5.

The fish and chips here are really fantastic. The service is friendly and quick, and everything is available for takeout. The only downside is that parking can be difficult due to the restaurant's location on a curve. The fish may steam a bit in the bag, but if you eat it right away, it's still crispy and juicy. I would give this place five stars for quality, but I'll need to come back and see if the experience is consistent before I give it a full rating.

I recently visited the Lobster Pound for the first time in over a year. I usually enjoy Tony's Clam Shop because they offer clam bellies. However, despite Hingham Lobster Pound advertising clam bellies on their menu, I was disappointed to find out they did not actually serve them. Instead, they covered the lack of clam bellies with excessive batter, masking the true flavors of the clams. It was a complete disappointment and I do not plan on returning.
