We were there today at 11.30, they made us wait outside until 11.45 as they were not ready, a little unusual as we thought we should just be seated and wait inside as it was open.Four children 6 and under, two adults.Seated and perfectly positioned right next to playground entrance! The kids played and screamed (its remarkably soundproof too :) ) while the lovely waitress attended to taking our order. Chips and bread were brought to the table as appetiser.. my family are vegetarian and the waitress organised some lovely sides for the kids, and a huge salad for me, some of the sides for us were gratuit which was amazing. Dessert also able to be vegan with sorbet.. and delicious coffee to fini...

Un mercredi soir froid de début mai, Hippo Vannes, alors très calme, a enfreint la première règle des restaurants selon laquelle le service est toujours moins bon dans un restaurant calme que lorsqu'il est animé, en nous offrant un service attentif mais pas intrusif. La nourriture était bonne, dans la lignée de ce que l'on peut attendre d'Hippo. Un bon rapport qualité-prix.
A cold Wednesday night in early May, Hippo Vannes, then very quiet, broke the 1st rule of restaurants [= service is always worse in a quiet restaurant compared to when it is busy] by giving us attentive but not intrusive service. The food was normal good Hippo fare as expected. Good value for money

Bonne nourriture et service, le steak était excellent et le plateau à partager était d'un bon rapport qualité-prix. Globalement satisfaisant et excellent comme d'habitude.
La nourriture est chère et pas géniale. Le personnel est presque impoli. Si vous voulez un steakhouse, allez chez Buffalo Grill, c'est moins cher et a plus d'ambiance!
Overpriced and not brilliant food. The staff are borderline rude. If you want a steak house then go to Buffalo Grill - it's cheaper and has more atmosphere!
