We attended a Yelp event here for a wine/pairing event. Learned a lot, taste tested several wines and got to meet their lovely Sommolier. We made a reservation for dinner, immediately following the event. Owner came to talk to those of who were attending the event, very knowledgeable, very passionate about the product he was providing to his customers. We ordered, dim sum planner, the wings, lobster rangoon, and the randang. Dim sum platter had three dumplings and they were enormous, but delicious. Presentation was lovely. A lot of meat, more than I normally expect in a dumpling. The Lobster Rangoon was amazing. So light, crispy, flavorful, and I liked that they were in tubular format and no...

Basing this ONLY on my 1 Sunday brunch experience here with 7 others for a Easter Brunch pick this is what I have to say. Got in at 11am which is when our RSVP was. Right as they opened. My group had 3 slow pokes we did not have all there to get seated till 1120 I admit that. Once seated we had orders taken without a hitch. This is where things went a little south for me. Our apps came out 20 minutes later which only 3 of the 7 got so that left 4 sitting and waiting for entrees. All we got was the marinated veggie apps so that should have been a quick dish to get out....no. It was really good I will note as I love me some good marinated veggies. Watching the next 5-6 tables near us get entre...
TL; DR: food is good, but poor everything else. Slow service, slow food, and high prices. Came in with a group of 10 and took about 20 min to get our order taken. The menu has changed significantly since it first opened. Condensed significantly. Still decent amount of comfort food, however. After putting our order in, food slowly started to come, but half our table had their food while the other half waited for about 20 min for theirs. Other tables around us were getting there good which was odd that you'd serve other people before completing our table's order. Half the time we were looking around for the wait staff to take our order, give us our checks, etc. Food wise we got the slinger (go...
My bf loves Asian food and we were going to a concert that was close by so we stopped here. I love the decor and space that Hiro occupies. Very nice ambiance. Brunch Saturday and Sunday 11-3 looks fantastic! We had ordered the Lychee Blossom and Dragons Blood cocktails which were very tasty. As far as appetizers go, the lobster Rangoon and potsticker were great!! We also go pepper sauce for the potstickers. When we ordered dinner, the two dishes we wanted were being taken off the menu... we thought the waiter was joking. But in all seriousness, he told us they were out so we ordered something different. I got the Chicken Curry and my bf got the Spicy Shrimp Big Bowl Ramen. He said it was som... Réservez une table maintenant
The restaurant was quiet on a Sunday night, with only one staff member working. We decided to try something new and ordered ramen, which was a bit greasy but had a comforting umami flavor. However, the noodles were gummy. We tried to order the pork shank and Malaysian braised beef, but they were both sold out. We settled for the curry, which was tasty but overpriced. The appetizers took a long time to arrive and were not impressive. The service was a bit clumsy because of the limited staff, but the server was attentive. Overall, the best dish we had was the curry, but it was too expensive for what it was. We probably won't be returning to try any of the dishes again.
There's lots of options to eat in St. Louis. And I am so glad I decided to come here to eat. Top of the line ramen. Holy ****. I've tasted some bland bland water ramen and this broth and noodles are just amazing. Beef tenderloin seared then put in ramen? Genius and truly amazing. I'm told the chef is Taiwanese and man his cooking is just the best. Bernie definitely puts their best foot forward with Hiro Ramen. I've tried ramen from Gainesville (bland and boring) and ramen from California (meh). But ramen here, high quality and compares with the ramen I had from Taiwan. Most definitely coming here again and would HIGHLY encourage others to visit.
During my brief stay in St. Louis, I had the chance to visit the City Museum and stumbled upon this restaurant located just one block away. The charming decor and inviting atmosphere, paired with the friendly service, made for a delightful dining experience. While I had hoped for more vegan options on the menu, I was pleased to find a tofu ramen dish and a variety of vegan sides available. Our meal included tofu ramen, coconut turmeric rice, spicy broccoli, roasted cauliflower, and spicy cabbage—all of which were absolutely delicious!
The restaurant has a stylish interior, but the food on the lunch menu was disappointing. Some dishes labeled as vegetarian actually contained chicken broth in the sauce, making them not truly vegetarian. The portion sizes were on the smaller side for the price, and the food took quite a long time to be served even though we were the only customers in the restaurant at noon. I had a great dining experience at Hiro. I ordered the matcha waffle and it was presented really well. Definitely a nice photo to share on social media. It also tasted really good. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. The restaurant is large, the decor is really nice and the atmosphere is nice. I will definitely return in the future.
The ambience is fantastic, but some of the dishes are not to my liking. Service was great.
