First, a bit of backstory: my wife and I were hiking (on our first ever visit to the Wachau) from Weissenkirchen towards Spitz through the vineyards and forest; not a tough walk but as it happened, very hot, sunny and tiring. After an hour or...so I started feeling strangely dizzy perhaps a consequence of another long hot hike the day before and decided to cut the walk short by heading down to Wosendorf. By the time we reached the village I could hardly stand without reeling, and we asked a passing couple if they knew of a cafe or bar nearby. Visiting for dinner on a Sunday evening as a couple we enjoyed a very pleasant dinner. We chose the summer menu which was 4 courses (5&6 are possible) for a reasonable €54. Fresh, local and seasonal produce is clearly used, very good serving sizes and...a nice choice of dishes. A la carte also is available. The venison 2 ways was excellent as was the chanterelle tartare! Staff were friendly and attentive and we sat outside in a lovely courtyard surrounded by trees. The hills peek out above the medium height walls, over which some traffic passes but not enough to notice. Recommended!

was für ein tolles restaurant! wir waren in unseren ferien hier essen, nachdem wir einen tipp bekommen haben. wir bestellen ein 4 und 5 gang menü, sowie für den nachwuchs ein 'menü spezial '. der service war äusserst kompetent und aufeinander abgestimmt. die sommelier war fachlich auf der höhe und lieferte für uns die passenden tropfen...

Ein exzellemter Ort um ausgezeichnet zu Speisen. Sehr schönes Ambiente und gute Stimmung. Ausgezeichnete Weine runden das Gourmet-Erlebnis ab. Dazu perfekter und freundlicher Service. Die Hauben sind redlich verdient. Top

sehr gutes Essen, allerdings Hauptgericht überschaubar, Speisekarte sehr überschaubar, sind eher auf Menü spezialisiert. Sehr nette Bedienung. Besuch empfehlenswert.
