Here's a challenge: Think of the first major donut chain that comes to mind in New England. Many would likely say Dunkin', but if you're in southeastern Massachusetts or nearby Rhode Island, Honey Dew Donuts is quite popular and well-known. The location in Rockland is situated at a busy intersection and resembles a typical Dunkin' store when I visited. The interior is small and somewhat outdated, but it can accommodate a few customers. I find that Honey Dew’s donuts, particularly the old-fashioned ones, are denser, fresher, and more satisfying compared to Dunkin's offerings. I walked in one of the ladies looked at me like I didn't belong there for a moment then put on this smile. The Lady who took my card was nice however, I handed her my card in her hand she returned my card on the table (not in my hand) didn't even bother asking nor giving me my receipt. I'm someone who has been in Customer Service my whole Life I feel disrespected. So to sum it up, I don't care if the food is good, there were undertones was very poor Customer Service at this establishment. I'm good have no problem taking my money elsewhere. First off: HD DD The only item on the menu I can speak for their breakfast sandwiches (which are served all day!! . I'll get around to trying their other items and donuts eventually. This particular location stands out in my mind for their service/hospitality. I thought I was just grabbing a bite to eat but each time I've come, the employees have all been awesome in subtle ways. In my book that says and means a lot.
This restaurant has consistently impressed me. After just a few morning visits, the staff remembers my order and makes me feel valued, not just like another customer. Recently, they've truly gone the extra mile to stay open, provide excellent service, and ensure everyone’s safety. Great coffee, a wide variety of pastries, especially cinnamon sticks for those who are watching their weight, cinnamon-topped coffee rolls roughly the size of an Olympic discus for those who aren't, and always super friendly wait staff who actually look you in the eye as they smile to greet you... a real small-town, family atmosphere!
If you choose the right restaurant and the staff are knowledgeable, you can expect great service and delicious food. I highly recommend trying the icy Mocha Madness coffee, but my new favorite is the berry freed blue raspberry smoothie—it tastes just like cotton candy and is absolutely amazing!
I ordered a sandwich, and Devin, a remarkably efficient employee, prepared it for me quickly. He was very nice and assisted me with everything I needed. I believe he deserves a raise for his outstanding work ethic. He was polite and managed to help numerous customers in a short amount of time.
Fantastic donuts! Forget about the other spot; these are the real deal. We especially love the vanilla cream variety. We affectionately refer to them as "fats" because they're so generously filled with cream—definitely twice what you get at the other place! Réservez une table maintenant
