Jess and Mike were fantastic throughout my experience. Mike was prompt to pick me up from my airbnb in Uptown and we had great conversation on the drive over about his time in Southern California and Louisiana. Jess was a stellar guide. She grew up in this area and knows how to respect and love the land she shares with you. She identified flora and fauna along our entire route and always made sure everyone felt comfortable. She is kind and outgoing so I was treated to great conversation along with a lovely float on the bayou during a sunny day. If you want to explore the natural beauty of this area with the smallest ecological footprint possible definitely book this tour!
We've been visiting New Orleans several times a year for the past five years and this tour was one of the best things we've ever done in the area. I will be recommending it to everyone I know who is going to visit. Our guide, Jess, grew up in the area and was so knowledgable and passionate about the swamp's ecology and history. Kayaking is really the ideal way to see the swamps which feel otherworldly and mystical. The kayaks they have are very user friendly and easy to maneuver even if you don't have a lot of kayaking experience. Well run operation with easy communication. Really can't say enough.
Half a chicken $4.99 Good price for a good part, not a small bird. Great taste, tender fork and still juicy. Bowl from Jambalaya $3.69 At first I thought the price was a bit high, but then I had to eat it and boy I was wrong. Many smoked sausage and chicken. Great taste tho I thought it could use a touch more salt (can only be personal preference). Overall Super Happy I just started as a professional driver and am a slider native. This place was here forever and now I see why. Great offers with a friendly staff. I can't wait to come back.
Parking lot has been grated and regraveled. Bbq shack in back of lot was closed at the time we were there so don't know if permanently or what. I didn't go inside main store but hubs did. Came back with some fantastic baby back ribs and chicken. They do sell beer and the sign says liquor. Would have given 5 stars but since I didn't go in so maybe next time.

We had a fun, relaxing, and informative experience! Jess is an amazing guide, brimming with knowledge she eagerly shares, which made our time enjoyable and educational. The swamp was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I would recommend this tour with Jess 100%!
The alligator sausage and pulled pork are amazing! They also have all the drinks I'm looking for tomorrow at 8:00. The staff was helpful in finding what I needed, and there wasn't much of a crowd or any long waits. Overall, it's a great place!
This is a wonderful place with fantastic karaoke, an excellent bartender, and an impressive singer. Wild Willie was there, making it a memorable night. Thank you for an amazing evening!
I have a friend named Sunshine who works as a bartender at this place. She's really great and made me some delicious drinks. She's a fun person to be around!

Great experience! The local crowd was friendly, and the food was delicious whether enjoyed at the bar or outside in the lively atmosphere.
Cool river side bar with kayak rentals and swamp tours next to Honey Island Swamp. Great place to stop for a a drink or quick bite.
