What a fantastic discovery! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture. The Shaggy Dog roll was both creative and delicious. Everything we ordered was delightful! The only downside, which isn't too significant, was the sake; it had a strong yellow tint, suggesting it wasn’t fresh. Sake should typically be clear or white. However, since it was served hot, it was still acceptable. Overall, the ambiance was lovely, the service was excellent, and the food was tasty. I will definitely be returning!

Hooks consistently forgets chopsticks and sauces, so we have had to drive back for missing items the past 4-5 times we have ordered to-go. The rude high school server double-charged my card for a $60+ meal, showing no apology and rolling her eyes at me when we had to drive back in-person because she was not answering the phone, even though the restaurant was open for 40 more minutes.

The fish lacks freshness and flavor, which was particularly disappointing with the salmon nigiri. The udon broth is overly sweet, and the edamame is overcooked. However, the seaweed salad was acceptable. On a positive note, the presentation is attractive and the staff are friendly. Overall, I found the food to be very disappointing and would not recommend this restaurant.

Used to come here back in my high school days, hadn’t been in over a decade. Went twice in the last 2 weeks because it’s just as amazing as I had remembered! Rolls were fantastic, fresh and flavorful. Pricing was actually cheap to me considering what rolls cost at other places locally. Will definitely keep coming back for more! I've been a loyal customer of Hooks Sushi Bar for over 20 years, and I can only praise them. The restaurant may be small and have a vintage feel, but the food is exceptional, and the customer service exceeds expectations. I'll keep coming back as long as I'm in Saint Pete. Food: 5/5

I really enjoy Hooks; I usually order the bibimbap, which is delicious. However, today I tried the New Year's roll, and it was both spicy and tasty. The service is consistently excellent, and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend it—10/10!

The food and atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. I'd recommend the shrimp rangoons and sushi nachos absolutely delicious! I had the bibimbap, which was pretty good but their sushi is really where they shine. Go check them out!Food: 5/5

Best sushi in town. Have been going here for years. It?s worth the wait. Also they are open for lunch and have a great take out system. Definitely check this place out ! Réservez une table maintenant
