Wide range of craft beers on tap and in the fridges for you to drink at the bar or take away. Comfortable and well-spaced seating inside and outside the venue. Really good atmosphere, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. You can bring take away food in to have with your drink, and there is a wide range of choices on Pier St, so great to do that of an evening. Would highly recommend a quick one after work or a few on a Friday Saturday night at Hopheads Altona.

A great bar for lovers of good tasty independent beers. There are always ten tapped beers which will have something to excite a beer enthusiast. If you don't find a tapped beer that suits, then there are hundreds of varieties in the large fridges to enjoy instore. The Hopheads concept of supporting Independent Craft Breweries is magnificent, at Altona, Yarraville and the OG at Point Cook. Price per person: A$40–60

I love the range of craft beers on tap to drink there and also the extensive range with high turnover to take away. BYO takeaway food makes this a great option to get together with friends and the live music is a bonus. Not cheap but a worthwhile treat. Kid-friendliness: Lots of games to keep the kids occupied as you enjoy the beer selection. Price per person: A$20–40

Is there a better way to spend your weekend than at a bar filled with an incredible selection of rare beers? I've never seen a selection quite like this!
