This place is so fun! They have a huge record collection that you can dig through and if you want to hear something you find, you just lay it out and they put it on. The food and drinks were fantastic and so reasonably priced and portions are generous. They have a good selection of local drinks on tap. Service was fantastic from everyone. I was only visiting Charlottetown, but if I lived there I would for sure be back. They also have multiple (delicious vegan options, which I greatly appreciated. My dining partner had a flight of 3 completely different kinds of poutine and said it was fantastic. Whatever aioli they put on their fries is unreal. So good. Hopyard ticks so many boxes for me and overall is a great spot. My one complaint: the current price of beer. This is a non-issue for tourists, but as a new local on the Island, I 'm not sure I can justify frequenting Hopyard more than once a month. This is coming from someone who has no qualms dropping money on good beer, but I can 't justify $10 for a pint from a local brewery or say $12 for an import from the neighboring province of Nova Scotia. Otherwise, an awesome spot with great vibes and lovely owners servers.
Absolutely delicious food/beers, great atmosphere and very quick and attentive service. If you’re vegetarian this is a must go! One of the first times i’ve gone to a non-vegan restaurant and had lots of options to choose from! We will certainly be returning when the new menu drops to see what other dishes they will create!
