Having arrived here on valentines we were expecting a full restaurant however this was not the case. We ordered the Samosa Plate, The Tandoori Platter and then a beef curry, naan and rice. The first two dishes were good but not fantastic but after that it went downhill with the beef curry very mediocre. Where this place lacks is its service. Between the entree and the tandoori platter we had to wait a Total of forty minutes. This would have been fine if the beef curry didn't arrive an hour later with the naan arriving ten minutes later! Everything is delicious about this place. The food is to die for: rich, sparse, sumptuous, sharp. You can take the kids. You can be kind of posh. You can drink. You can avoid it. You can go for the Sunday night all-you-can-eat cheap extravaganza but you also dine a la carte. It's warm and cosy and smartly decorated. A great easy date night joint too. Also kind of classy - and all because the food is a knock-out. Even if you ain't really into Fitzroy North style of hispter doucheyness, the food silences all criticisms. Highly recommended.
A last minute dinner choice for our family of 4. We enjoyed 3 main meals, naan breads and jasmine rice which was enough for all of us. The coconut milk fish curry, village lamb curry and butter chicken were all fantastic. Staff were very friendly, service was good and overall a great relaxed and friendly restaurant with fabulous Indian food at a reasonable price.

I stopped by here tonight and tried the goat curry after requesting a recommendation for something tasty but not too hot. They certainly delivered in that.Prices are reasonable. A good range of craft beers in the fridge where you help yourself for a flat $9 per bottle. All in all top service and great quality food at a fairly reasonable price. I will be back.
Cheerful atmosphere with friendly and caring waiters providing efficient prompt service and delicious food. There is a small range of carefully chosen dishes which are picturesque but with sumptuous interesting and enticing flavours. Prices are reasonable for the amount and range of food.
This place is amazing.Staff is very kind and very quick!The ace is clean and tidy qnd the food is absolutely gorgeous.The price is honest, they have also good beers.Probably they could serve more generous portions, but that's fine. I will come back.
Superb food highlights, goat curry ,Dahl,samosas,okra,naan breads, and kulfi.Staff fantastic.Ambience great for couples or big groups. Sunday night 25 dollar buffet, cash only.Excellent value.

The wait staff were especially good at explaining everything and prompt with water, etc. An enjoyable experience all round.
An excellent Indian place in the heart of North Fitzroy, really nice staff and amazing food. Can be a little noisy though.
