Dined here last night for a bite to eat before having some halloween fun with my friends. We were greeted by a young girl who seemed very nice at first and complimented our costumes. as our dinner continued however and we ordered a second round of drinks she became very irritated. She was even annoyed when we asked for silverware, and ketchup. Upon handing us the check she told us to hurry up she has a party to get to. I confronted her as I work in the service industry and thought this was rude. I have never once been told by anyone to hurry up because they had somewhere to be. I hope you understand that you rushing us out of here is rude and you will not be getting a tip she proceeded to ar...
A group of friends and I went here on a slow Saturday night, none of us with a New York State ID. After looking at one ID from out of state, the entire group was immediately refused empty based on the grounds that they accept no out of state IDs. One female member of our group politely asked why, saying that perhaps the bartender did not have the resources to verify out of state IDs. The male bartender immediately turned to this woman and said If you take that attitude next door, you 'll get slapped right in the mouth. You just go try it . Not only was our group denied entry based on our out-of-state IDs, but my friend was physically threatened for no reason. I would absolutely not recommend...
I went to this bar with a group of friends, and we were all refused entry. One of the bouncers even threatened to slap a girl who hadn't said anything at all. I asked for an explanation regarding why we were denied entry, and the woman on the phone simply said, "Sweetie, sometimes the answer is just no." When I pressed for more information, she insisted that there was nothing we could do about it. At one point, they claimed we were from out of state, even though we were all from New Jersey at a bar in New York. This was the most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered. I would not recommend going to this bar.
This is my friends and I go-to-bar when we go to Pearl River on the weekends. It's amazing how we usually get there around 11:30 p.m. and it's pretty dead but fast forward about 45 minutes and the place is packed. Never a line to get in which is good. Even when it's really crowded, the bartenders are still pretty good with getting you a drink and actually following up with people standing near the bar to see if they need anything. So many other bartenders at other bars try to act like they don't see you or you are standing there for 15 minutes trying to get their attention to get a drink. Not here.

I was at horse and jockey. The bar tender gave a water down beer of Michelob ultra. I poor into a glass and it water with a tint. I was charged for another one instead I was charged double. Does this establishment think they are the rox 's berry This was just one of the bar tenders so this does truly represent this bar a whole. I will not be back their for a longtime.
I have been there once prior and recently to watch the Super Bowl. I have to say this is a great place to watch any sporting events. There are lots of new TVs everywhere and they leave the sound on so you can hear the games. Also I like the fact that the place has some room. Had the pizza which was good. Service was friendly. Great place to watch a game!!
The Horse and Jockey is a lively spot among local bars. You can expect a consistent experience in terms of the music selection, drink quality, and service. It’s a fantastic place to hang out with friends and features a reasonably sized dance floor. However, I wouldn’t recommend bringing a group larger than ten, as it can get quite crowded.
By far the best Irish pub in all of Rockland county. Service is right on point. Yea $7 for a pint of Guinness May be a little steep, but the perfection of the pour and presentation makes it 100% worth it. Great selection of whiskey, (especially Irish) and priced accordingly. Can't wait to come back.

This is a fantastic pub located in downtown Pearl River. They serve amazing flatbreads! The bartender, Mike, is consistently friendly.
