I was really excited to finally try this place for the first time. My guest and I were greeted by our would be waiter and was not necessarily friendly. First impressions right? Sadly, the food was not prepared as it was described in the menu, leaving off condiments and toppings. Drinks were way too strong, as cocktails should be a healthy mix of alcohol and mix-in's. Waiter was antsy and didn't really get the hint that we were taking our time with our meal and time there. Every visit to the table was accompanied by an aire of let's get this over with, shall we . This was our sixth or seventh visit since the pandemic started, and sadly I'm afraid it will be the last. I was hoping that they would get their act together by now, but the quality of the food and service continues to decline. Our food was delivered cold and the requested well done burger was nearly raw. It took forever to correct with the rest of our party finishing before it arrived. Service has really never recovered since the pandemic started, and our server was clearly overwhelmed, and he really couldn't handle his tables. We visited on Saturday night after leaving another restaurant who ignored us for mins. So glad we left came to the Horseneck Tavern. This was our time and itâs always been great. Food was delicious. We both were in the mood for burgers which are probably one of the best in the area for dessert the bengnets with gelato which were amazing so unexpected. They had live music that was understated wonderful to listen to while eating outside at one of their high tops. Service was attentive not at all overbearing. Will definitely return.
